Later we went to Codie's studio, where I was allowed to watch her doing a photoshoot. I took some snapshots myself. Most of them of the model, Sean Gorham, but also two of Codie. Neither of these two is very good to start with, but I made an attempt to ensure that at least one is preserved for posterity. I'm not saying I succeeded, but at least I tried. This is a part of the original snapshot:

I'll give you the short version of what I did.
Oh and let's not focus on the fact that Codie's left arm seems to disappear right through her dress. There's not much I can do to fix that.. :)
Brightened up the whole picture.
I got rid of a few rough edges (for example, the right shoulder)
Fixed the left upper arm, so it no longer looks like Codie has been on steroids.
Changed the blending mode of two layers, and I did some additional dodging and burning.

I'd love to hear what you think of it. Also, tell me if there is anything you would have done differently. Please leave a comment here or on Flickr.

hey! i is on steroids! pfffft! ;) no seriously its an awesome job for a first try and considering the low quality of the original. i will show you a few tips especially about antialiasing. <3<3<3
@cb: thanks. well i'm actually pretty experienced with Photoshop, but only graphics and RL photography. this was my first attempt at editing SL snapshots. i probably should have chosen a better one to start with. although the 'after' pic is not that bad, i'm not completely pleased with it.
but spending much more time on it and ending up with ten extra layers didn't seem worth the trouble.. :)
like i said elsewhere earlier today, i always like to hear other people's views and ideas. i'd really appreciate your tips. one is never too old to learn..
oh i know you know the photoshop, i was talking about the original source pictures. they would have looked better if you had your video card antialiasing feature turned on to take the snapshots. if your original is not too aliased, your postprocessed result will surely look better. <3
